Email with room to breathe

OxyMail is a calm, private email client with calendar and contacts built in. It runs the same on every computer you own, and it brings your Mailbird mail along with you.

Windows 10 and 11 · macOS 11 and later · Linux (AppImage, .deb, .rpm)

Everything a daily inbox needs

Nothing it doesn't. No upsells, no gamification, no subscription.

Every account, one inbox

Gmail, Outlook, your own domain: as many accounts as you like, each with its own colour and signature, or all together in one view.

Mail the moment it arrives

Push mail keeps every inbox current. Everything is kept on your computer too, so you can read and search offline.

Search that finds it

Fast full-text search across all your mail, with filters like from:, has:attachment and before:.

Snooze and send later

Put a message away until you're ready for it, or write now and have it sent at the right time.

Undo send

A few seconds to change your mind, plus drafts that save themselves as you type.

Private by design

Remote images and trackers are blocked until you allow them. No analytics, no ads, and no OxyMail server.

Calendar built in

Month and agenda views with repeating events, and you can import .ics files.

Contacts that help

An address book with photos that powers address autocomplete. Import your .vcf files.

Credentials kept safe

Passwords and sign-in tokens live in your system's secure storage, never in a plain file.

Leaving Mailbird? Bring everything.

OxyMail reads your Mailbird data and moves it into open, standard formats, so nothing is left behind and nothing is locked in again.

OxyMail is an independent project. It contains no Mailbird code, and only reads files that are already yours.

  • Every message, in every folder, with attachments
  • Your accounts in the same order, with their colours and signatures
  • Contacts and calendars
  • Reconnect old accounts to their servers and carry on where you left off

Questions

Is OxyMail really free?

Yes. It's open-source software under the GPL-3.0 licence. There's no paid tier, no trial and no account to create.

Where is my mail stored?

On your computer, and with your mail provider as usual. There is no OxyMail server, so your messages never pass through us. Read the privacy policy for the details.

Which email providers does it work with?

Any provider that offers IMAP and SMTP, which is almost all of them: Gmail, Outlook and Microsoft 365, Yahoo, iCloud, Fastmail and your own domain. OxyMail detects the server settings for you.

Can I move from Mailbird without losing anything?

That's what OxyMail was built for. It moves your mail, folders, accounts, signatures, contacts and calendars, and leaves your original Mailbird files untouched.
